FRENCH BISTRO FAVOURITES Bring the flavours of a classic French bistro to life in this hands-on cookery course. Learn how to prepare a selection of timeless French dishes, from rustic starters and comforting mains to delicious sauces and classic accompaniments. Discover the techniques, ingredients and simple touches that make French bistro cooking so special, while picking up plenty of tips to recreate these much-loved dishes at home. A relaxed and delicious introduction to the best of French home-style cooking. Sample dishes: French onion soup, chicken chasseur, croque monsieur Your day begins at 9.45am in the Furnace Café, where you’ll enjoy a complimentary tea or coffee and have the chance to meet your fellow delegates and your chef. Your chef will introduce you to the class menu and talk you through how the day will run before you’re shown to your own workspace in our fully equipped Cookery School kitchen. With step-by-step tuition throughout, your chef will be on hand to guide and assist you, making the experience fun, relaxed and easy to follow — whether you’re a confident cook or a complete beginner. All ingredients, aprons and drinks are provided throughout the class, so all you need to bring is your enthusiasm and a container for taking your delicious creations home. By the end of the class, you’ll leave with new cooking skills, recipe notes and the dishes you’ve prepared yourself to enjoy at home. This is a full day course, running from 9.45am until 4.00pm. Lunch and refreshments are included. £150pp Unfortunately we are unable to tailor recipes in this course with substitutions for dietary requirements or allergies as it can significantly change the composition and outcome of the dishes.
