Whether you are a beginner wanting to learn new skills or a confident cook, our imaginative cookery courses and in-depth masterclasses will instruct and inspire. You might be exploring our market garden to taste the freshest, most flavourful ingredients picked straight from the soil, or meet our heritage breeds and reconnect with the land as you learn valuable skills, new recipes and artisan techniques.

There is nothing that feeds our souls more than gathering friends and family around the table, or cooking something satisfying simply for ourselves. Over the year we gather inspiration from our farm and kitchens to share recipes that reflect our commitment to seasonal, nutritious food that is full of flavour.

In this 90 minute class, we will start slowly, settling in, tuning in and warming up. We have an hour for our ASANA practice, this is the movement part of the class, where we ease out all the tension, tiredness and tightness in the body, by moving mindfully, in time with the breath. 

After an hour or so, we reach the peak point of our class; the ultimate goal of any yoga practice... and that is being able to sit quietly, without the mind racing. We do this with a chosen Mudra, a positive affirmation and we sit together, just for a few minutes. Then it's time to go under blanket for a long relaxation, a poem or a Yoga Nidra. 

BEGINNERS YOGA 

WITH HELEN JACKSON

This class will offer a good grounding in the fundamentals the practice for those just setting out on they Yoga journey. The class will begin with some settling and tuning into the breath, building step by step towards exploring a series of postures with a focus on alignment and cultivating mind-body awareness. 

Aimed at children aged 4 - 12 with their grown-up family member/s. Original, captivating and fun, these sessions develop strength, balance, coordination, and body awareness whilst enabling families to spend quality time with each other. Using a yoga, tai chi, mindfulness, fitness mash-up everyone benefits from learning together. 

Behind the concept of Cariad Family Yoga stands the ethos of play. We know play and joy are fundamental to mental and emotional well-being. Touch base with your family. Reconnect. Raise each other up!
