Terms of Use, Purchasing, Delivery and Returns

 

  1. Use Of Our Website

1.1 To purchase goods from our website you must be over eighteen years of age. Details provided upon registration or at any time must be correct and complete. You must inform us immediately of any changes to the information that you provided when registering, by updating your personal details. You must provide your real name, address, phone number, email address and any other details that we may require to process your order.

1.2 We reserve the right to: decline a new customer registration or suspend a customer’s account at any time and at our sole discretion, to terminate your access to all or part of the services with or without notice, to discontinue the website or services, or any part thereof, at any time, with or without notice.

  1. Availability

2.1 Goods and services sold on this website are subject to availability. Our acceptance of your offer to purchase our goods is subject to their availability. Our acknowledgement of order acceptance via the web or email is not a guarantee of delivery. If we are unable to deliver the goods which you have offered to purchase, we will let you know as quickly as possible and a full refund will be given.

  1. Pricing, Description and Product Information

3.1 The prices which you must pay for the products that you order are set out on the website at the time you place your order (plus a delivery charge), except where we discover an error in the price of the products you have ordered. In this event, we will inform you as soon as possible after receiving your order and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price, or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you, we will treat the order as cancelled.

3.2 All prices are shown in £ sterling and include VAT where applicable. Although we will take all reasonable care to ensure that all descriptions, details and prices of products appearing on the website are correct at the time when the information was entered onto the system, the information appearing on this website at any time may not reflect the exact position at the moment you place an order. All measurements and sizes are approximate, although we make every effort to ensure that they are as accurate as possible.

  1. Ordering

4.1 The Order Acknowledgement email and order number are our confirmation of your order with us. Completion of the contract between you and us will take place on dispatch to you of the products ordered or provision of service, unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order, or you have cancelled it. Our carrier will make every reasonable effort to contact you to make delivery, but, if they are unable to do so, then your order will be cancelled and payment refunded to your card.

  1. Payment

5.1 We take payment via your choice of SagePay or via Paypal from your card at the time we receive your order. Payment must be made with a valid credit or debit card acceptable to us.

  1. Delivery

6.1 Provided that we have processed and received payment in full for the products, ownership of an item will pass to you once the item has been delivered (either directly, or by leaving it in a safe place or with a neighbour). When an item has been delivered, risk of damage to, or loss of, the item passes to you. We do not deliver outside the UK.

6.2 When delivering chilled and perishable goods the courier will be unable to re-deliver should you not be able to accept delivery on the chosen date. In this instance the courier will leave your package in a safe place or with a neighbour.

  1. Cancellations and Returns

7.1 You have the right to cancel or return your order up to 7 working days following receipt of your goods. This includes your right to cancel your order under the distance selling regulations. You will receive a full refund including the original postage and packaging for the order if the charge was levied with your original order and it is returned in full.

7.2 We hope you are happy with any product purchased, but if you wish to return a product to us for any reason you may do so within 30 days of the dispatch date. It must be in a saleable condition and in its original undamaged packaging. We will refund the price or replace the product. Return delivery charges will only be refunded in the event of faulty, damaged or incorrect items being sent to you. This does not affect your statutory rights. Other than for defective products, returns outside the timeframe set out above may be accepted at the sole discretion of Bodnant.

7.3 £5, £10, £20 & £50 Bodnant vouchers cannot be exchanged or refunded.

  1. Refunds and Exchanges

8.1 All refunds will be made to the debit or credit card on which the original purchase was made, within 30 days of the cancellation of the order or return of the goods. In the event that Bodnant is unable to credit your original method of payment, we will contact you to arrange an alternate method of refund. On faulty products, after the 7 day cancellation period, we reserve the right to offer a spare part or repair where appropriate. We also reserve the right to offer a replacement item of similar or equal value.

  1. Indemnity

9.1 You agree to indemnify and hold Bodnant harmless from all liabilities, claims and expenses that arise out of the content you submit, post or transmit via the Bodnant website, or from your use/misuse of the website, or the use/misuse by any person for whom you are responsible or from your violation of the terms and conditions.

10. Changes to Terms and Conditions

10.1 We reserve the right to change any aspect of these terms and conditions without notice, at any time. This right shall not affect the existing terms and conditions accepted by the customer at the point of purchase.

11. Force Majeure

11.1 We shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform any of our obligations should delay or failure result from events or circumstances outside our reasonable control. Including but not limited to: acts of god, strikes, lock outs, accidents, war, fire, failure of any communications, telecommunications or computer system, breakdown of plant or machinery or shortage or unavailability of raw materials from a natural source of supply, and the we shall be entitled to a reasonable extension to deliver obligation.

Bodnant Cookery School Booking Terms & Conditions

Payment will be required at the time of booking. If you are playing by cheque, please make it payable to Furnace Farm. Your place on the course will not be guaranteed until your cheque has cleared.

  • Students must be over 17 years unless otherwise stated in the calendar or at the discretion of the cookery school manager.
  • We are not able to adapt the course content to suit particular dietary tastes, intolerances or allergies.
  • When booking a place please notify us of any food intolerances, or allergies, that we need to be aware of when preparing your lunch or supper.
  • We are unable to guarantee a completely nut-free cooking environment.
  • We reserve the right to substitute ingredients and dishes on the courses when necessary.
  • Any medical condition that may affect your ability to take part, or follow instructions, must be disclosed at the time of booking.
  • Our Cookery School is fully accessible however there are two steps down to the dining area.
  • Courses will be cancelled if minimum booking numbers are not reached. Students will be notified a week before if this is the case.

 

Safety & Wellbeing

  • We reserve the right to decline a booking, or to ask a customer to leave a course, without reimbursement of the course fee if we believe there may be an unacceptable risk to their health and safety, or to that of our other customers and our staff.
  • The wellbeing of our customers and staff is very important to us. We provide a safety briefing at the start of each course, and you are required to follow these guidelines in order to help us create a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • You are required to follow the operating instructions provided by our tutors for all kitchen equipment used.
  • We advise that you wear comfortable, flat and enclosed toe shoes, and request that long hair is tied back.

Bodnant Cookery School Cancellation and Course Transfer Policy

Cancellations and course transfer requests will only be accepted over the telephone during normal office hours. Monday – Friday 9am-5pm.

 

Cancellations

28 days’ notice:

-A full refund

Less than 28 days’ notice:

-If we are able to fill your place, you will receive a full refund.

-If we are unable to fill your place, you will receive a credit voucher which can be used on another course.

 

Course Transfers – Subject to Availability:

At least 28 days’ notice:

-You will be transferred

 

Between 2 and 28 days’ notice:

-If we are able to fill your place you will be transferred at no cost.

-If we are unable to fill your place, you will be transferred with a charge of 50% of the course cost.

Less than 2 days’ notice

-If we are able to fill your place, you will be transferred.

-If we are unable to fill your place, no transfer or refund will be available.

 

Cancellations by The Bodnant Cookery School:

In the unlikely event of a cancellation by ourselves, we will undertake to provide a suitable alternative within a reasonable period of time. If this is not possible we will offer either a refund of a transfer onto another course of your choice.

 

Cancellation by a Tutor

In the unlikely event that a tutor needs to cancel for any reason we will undertake to find a replacement tutor and you will be notified by email. These circumstances might result in a slight change to the course however the theme will remain unchanged.
