The award winning Bodnant Dairy is a core part of Bodnant Welsh Food Centre, producing Artisan Cheese and Butter based on traditional, regional recipes.
With Welsh milk coming from a local, single, Friesian herd just half a mile away, the milk used is of the highest quality, consistently and with full traceability. The cows graze in the lush green pastures that are watered by rain from the Snowdonia mountains. The dedicated dairy team pasteurise the fresh, creamy, raw milk to produce cheese with unique flavours.
The team have developed the “Aber” cheese Range, Welsh for estuary, Including, Aberwen – White, Abergoch – Red and Abermwg – Smoked, Cloth bound and matured in the cheese stores to develop the characteristic flavour and attractive traditional rind.
A new traditional Caerphilly cheese made to the original old recipe is the latest addition to the range using “Welsh milk made in Wales” and has won 3 Gold Stars at the Great Taste Awards 2016. Recently awarded PGI status from the European Comission. Read more here
The Bodnant Dairy can be found out on the road at many of the Welsh Food Festivals throughout the year including Royal Welsh, Anglesey Show, Menai Seafood Show, Beaumaris, Abergavenny food festival, and Conwy feast to name but a few.
Bodnant Dairy Cheese and Butters are also available at retail outlets, delis and farm shops across the UK.
Bodnant Dairy offers a professional and efficient service to all our trade customers. A next day delivery service is available in England and Wales, and selected Scottish areas – depending on stock availability.
