Bodnant’s in-house butchery hosts an award-winning range of quality meats, with much sourced from neighbouring farms and the surrounding areas.

From 100% Welsh black beef, salt marsh lamb and seasonal poultry; to a tantalising array of Bodnant’s very own sausages, most of the meat you’ll find has been sourced locally and developed on-site by Bodnant’s experienced butchers into a variety of award-winning flavours, including pork & pear burgers, and leek & garlic sausages… the list goes on!

1. We stock only the finest quality, local produce 

From Welsh Black Beef that’s dry-aged for a minimum of 21 days, Welsh Spring & Salt Marsh Lamb to Welsh rare-breed pork – Oxford Sandy Blacks and Gloucester Old Spot – we boast the largest and tastiest, quality Welsh meat. By working with our local suppliers we minimise food miles and support local farmers.

2. We work with local, independently accredited farmers 

Bodnant Butchery is located in the foothills of Snowdonia and on the edges of the salt marshes; we are the prime location to take advantage of the high quality, local meat available to us. Working with independently accredited farmers who supply PGI status Welsh beef and Welsh lamb. Our rare-breed pork is supplied by Mary Benfield from Llanellian.

3. We make everything onsite 

We prepare all of our products using traditional carcass butchery methods on site. Offering a wide variety of Welsh beef, pork, lamb, and game plus barbecue boxes and oven ready meats. All of our award-winning burgers and sausages are handmade onsite. We make over 8 different varieties of Bodnant sausages, all of which are hand linked, using natural skins.

4. Dedicated traditional butchery

All of our energy and focus is on delivering high quality meat to you. The meat is sourced and prepared onsite with you in mind. We take great pride in our work, and our highly experienced butchers have won national awards for their work.
