Furnace Tearoom Cook 

Are you fanatical about food?
We are looking for an experienced cook to join our friendly tearoom team.
You will have ideally at least 2 years cooking experience using fresh ingredients. You must be able to work well within a team and thrive under pressure. You will need to demonstrate understanding of the urgency required for a busy kitchen and the importance of upholding high standards of cleanliness, food presentation and customer service at all times.

You will be responsible for all food ordering, food preparation, food safety, food hygiene, preparation of hot & cold food (including freshly made soup, daily hot dishes, sandwiches & paninis, plus afternoon teas). You will prepare breakfasts for Farmhouse guests as well as breakfast tearoom guests. You will work with the tearoom manager to develop the menu and will be supported by tearoom kitchen members.
As a minimum, you will hold Food Safety and Hygiene level 2 qualification, further qualifications are desirable.

Due to our location and start times, your own transport is essential.
Includes working weekends and Bank Holidays.

Job Type: Full-time (40-45hrs pw)

Experienced Cleaner 

We currently have a vacancy for an experienced cleaner to join our team.
The role requires a passionate and dedicated individual who prides themselves on delivering a first class cleaning service across our site.
Previous experience is welcomed but not essential as full training will be provided, however you should have a positive and flexible can do attitude.
Hours by arrangement to include weekend work.

Baker / Confectioner

We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable baker/confectioner to join our small and happy team. Hours are negotiable although a degree of flexibility is required.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 years’ experience in bread, confectionery or pie making within a scratch bakery and will be able to produce work to a high standard.

With a passion for baking and great knowledge of ingredients, our bakers ensure quality ingredients are used resulting in the best fresh breads and cakes.

You will get to know your customers and serve them with pride. You will always put the customer first and consider them in everything you do.

You will help to ensure products and services are always available for customers.

You will handle all products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach the customer in the best condition.

Duties will include and are not limited to:

Keep the shop and back areas clean and tidy always.
Using the training you receive, follow department routines and processes.
Follow all company policies and adhere to Health and Safety routines.
Whilst you will have a core role, you may be asked to support your colleagues by helping in other areas or departments.

Front Of House Staff

We have a fantastic opportunity for talented front of house staff to join us at our busy Hayloft restaurant and are looking for enthusiastic and passionate individuals to join our team in delivering outstanding service at our restaurant and internal functions/events.

You will deliver the best in guest service, enhancing the guest’s experience whilst identifying all opportunities to up sell and drive our sales. Back of house, you are the support for the kitchen and restaurant making sure that your colleagues have all they need in order to deliver and exceed expectations.

The role:

Ensuring that all standards are met and exceeded

Advising guests on menu and wine choice

Maintaining high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety

Assisting the Restaurant Manager in driving sales, upselling

Providing guests with excellent service

Act as a final check on the quality and consistency of food and drinks before they are served


You’ll be a great leader with strong communication and influencing skills, you’ll have an approachable manner and a “hands on” attitude.
